Staying Connected and Staying Sane With This Side UP! Family
Hello again friends. Even though the last few months have felt long, it’s still hard to believe that September will be here tomorrow. We wanted to share with you a little bit more about what we do courtesy of a wonderful feature by Dallas Doing Good that you can find here.
Something to Do:
If your family is missing going to the movies but you aren’t quite ready to face the theater, try The Drive-In at The Central. A different movie will be shown at 8:15 every evening and prices vary but are by the car. Click here for the full schedule and all safety information.
Tune in to the Otsukimi Full Moon Viewing Festival on September 2nd from 8:00-9:30. The Dallas and Fort Worth Japanese Societies are hosting together and the virtual event will include poetry and dance performances, calligraphy, origami and dessert demonstrations and more. Find out more here.
Something to Give:
Early Giving for North Texas Giving Day starts TOMORROW! Thousands of North Texas Non-Profits are so grateful for the generous support that comes from this yearly event. Click here to donate to This Side UP! Family and click here to browse all of the participating nonprofits!
That’s all we have for this week. Stay tuned for more ideas on things to do, make, discuss, and give next week! As always, feel free to email us at info@thissideupfamily.org or leave a comment below with any topic ideas or suggestions. If you try any of our ideas, be sure to tag us in your social media posts @thissideupfamilytx on Instagram or @thissideupfamily on Facebook.
