Staying Connected and Staying Sane with This Side UP! Family
Hello again, friends. We took last week off for Labor Day and hope you were able to have the best day possible wherever you were and whatever you were doing. We are enjoying the slightly cooler weather and pretending it won’t get higher than 100 degrees again even though we know it will.
Onward!
Something to Do:
Autumn at the Arboretum starts this Saturday, September 19th. This is always a favorite and the theme this year is Art of the Pumpkin! Reservations must be made in advance. Click here to schedule your visit!
Communities Foundation of Texas usually has all kinds of in person events to celebrate North Texas Giving Day but they’re going virtual this year! Tune in here to a fun all-day concert on Thursday the 17th in celebration of North Texas Giving Day.
Something to Make:
To help get in the fall spirit, we’re making this apple crisp from The Chunky Chef this week!

Something to Give:
As you’ve probably heard, North Texas Giving Day is This THURSDAY! It’s a day where thousands of nonprofits around North Texas are supported by community celebrations and donations! Click here to give to This Side UP! Family and click here to browse all participating nonprofits! If you can’t give, you can still spread the word to friends and family or share on social media!
That’s it for this week. We’ll see you next week with more things to make, do, discuss or give. If you try any ideas make sure to tag us @thissideupfamily on Facebook or @thissideupfamilytx on Instagram and use #thissideupfamily. As always, feel free to comment here or shoot us an email at info@thissideupfamily.org with any ideas or suggestions!
Take care of each other!
